On 16 April 2021, ‘Innovative Solutions for Plant Breeding: a Biotechnology Research Company’s Perspective’ was held online via zoom with a total of 40 participants attended. In this talk, Dr Michiel van Eijk from Genetwister Technologies B.V., the Netherlands provided the audience with an overview of research projects performed in a contract research company owned by several multinational vegetable and horticultural plant breeding companies and how such research is organized.

It is the sixth talk of a series aiming to promote agrobiotechnology and enhance understanding of the potential applications of agricultural products. The target audience includes international scholars, researchers, agricultural industry as well as the general public.
