On 20 January 2022, ‘Bioactive Compounds in Crops’ was held online via zoom with a total of 68 participants attended. In this talk, our speaker, Prof Wing Tak Jack Wong from the CUHK introduced the bioactive compounds in crops and their role in health promotion and prevention of diseases. He also shared his works to demonstrate the novel cardiovascular benefits of active compounds from food sources.
It is the fifteen talk of a series aiming to promote agrobiotechnology and enhance understanding of the potential applications of agricultural products. The target audience includes international scholars, researchers, agricultural industry as well as the general public.
