‘From Crop to Flavour’ is the first of a series aiming to promote agrobiotechnology and enhance understanding of the potential applications of agricultural products. The target audience includes international scholars, researchers, agricultural industry as well as the general public. Held on 18 November 2020, 84 participants joined via zoom from worldwide while 10 attended physically at the CUHK. In this talk, speaker Dr Joanna Chen, who is the former Group Chief R&D and Quality Officer of Vitasoy International Holdings Limited, introduced how crops are turned into flavourful meals, flavouring components and tasty/aromatic processed foods and drinks full of pleasing flavour surprises.
